Navaratri Festival, Devi, Thurya, Advaitha

Happy Navaratri to one or all.

ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ನವರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಶುಭಾಷಯಗಳು

Who is Devi? Excerpt from Lalithaa Sahasranaama:

SHE who is all the three forms: the prayer, devotee and the object prayed upon
SHE who is BEYOND the difference between religiousness and heresy
SHE who takes up the form of UNIVERSE in the wake up state (of the observer)
SHE who is THE AURA of the soul in the dreaming state (of the observer)
SHE who is THE AWARENESS in the deep sleep (of the observer)
SHE who IS the fourth state called THURYAA, (here the observer is one with the observed), and
SHE who is beyond the differences perceived in the forms of existence

The fourth state thuryaa is nothing but sat-chit-aananada or the state of 'eternal bliss'.
Note the advaitha philosophy being upheld throughout Brahmanda Purana (of which Lalitha sahasranama is a part).

How to know / understand Devi?

ಅಂತರ್ಮುಖ ಸಮಾರಾಧ್ಯಾ ಬಹಿರ್ಮುಖ ಸುದುರ್ಲಭಾ

Devi can easily be understood/known if one looks/meditates inward, understands oneself, i.e. understands the process of self-realization. AND it is not easy to understand Devi by meditating upon the worldly objects of Maya.

ಹುಡುಕಾಟ

ಹೊಸತು ಹಳೆಯದಾಗಿ
ಹಳತು ಹೊಸತಾಗಿ

ನೆನ್ನೆ ನಾಳೆಯಾಗಿ
ನಾಳೆ ನೆನ್ನೆಯಾಗಿ

ಹಲವು ಒಂದಾಗಿ
ಒಂದು ಹಲವಾಗಿ

ನಾನು ನೀನಾಗಿ
ನೀನು ನಾನಾಗಿ

ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಅವನಾಗಿ
ಅವನೇ ಎಲ್ಲವಾಗಿ

ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುವುದೋ
ಅಲ್ಲೇಕೆ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ?

Brahma Jnana

The body composed of five elements is perishable and transient, but the Self within is the thing - Absolute Reality which is immortal and intransient. The pure Being, Consciousness or Brahma, the Ruler and the Controller of the senses and the mind is the thing Sai. This pervades all things in the universe and there is no space without it. -- Sai Sachcharita Chapter 43 and 44.

Omnipresent GOD

ईशावास्यं   इदं  सर्वं  यत्किञ्च जगत्यां जगत  (Ishavasyam idam sarvam yat kincha jagatyam jagat) => The entire universe is pervaded by God.

Just close your eyes and chant "Aum" and you are one step close to self realization. Do not go by the distorted translations and comments on Shrutis and Smritis (Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas) that some people are wrongly preaching in the past 5000 years. We have to look beyond this timeline and understand the truth. It is not easy because you won't easily get undistorted information you have to carefully filter out what you read and hear by questioning, exploring and meditating on the Supreme soul.

Thus Spake Sai Baba (2)

Do not think that the world will not go on without your work. God has engaged you in work only as His agent. - Sai Baba

Thus Spake Sai Baba (1)

The Soul is eternal, ancient, permanent, devoid of changes due to birth and death. It is denoted by the letter AUM. It has no beginning. It is infinite and everlasting. - Sai Baba
